Hamburg

I spent two wonderful, but cold winter days in Hamburg in 2013. Here are some of the pictures I took and places I recommend to visit:

BallinStadt (3)

Die BallinStadt

is the former emigration station (now the Emigration Museum).

BallinStadt (114)

You are allowed to touch many items inside the museum, which is a big plus if you travel with children. The exhibition is entertaining and informative.

Das Hamburger Rathaus (28)

Das Hamburger Rathaus

is a luxurious building. The entrance was free of charge and I got an opportunity to enjoy the wonderful interior decoration of the place.

Hamburg is not only famous for its port, but also for the beautiful canals and bridges.

I saw Hamburg as a mixture of industrial areas and green open spaces.
