If you are in China, and you miss your home country or just want to feel abroad, Beijing World Park is the right place for you.
The park was opened in 1993. I visited the park in the wintertime and, unfortunately, could not enjoy many of its attractions. Nevertheless, I got a chance to watch an elephant show, to see many beautiful scenes and entertainments,to shop, and to eat. Sadly, park is getting old. Some of the attractions shall be repaired. I highly recommend to visit it before it is too late.
Here are some pictures I would like to share with you, so you can have a glimpse of what the Beijing World Park looks like:
The fairy-tale entrance
Many of the models are quite big. Many of them 1:4 scale models
You can walk, get on a ‘train’ or drive a battery-operated car around the park
In the summer you have more options, including boats and catamarans
Even in the winter, there are more vehicle to choose from
A map on an entry ticket helps you to see the main attractions
The World Park has its name of a reason. It is HUGE. Be ready for a long walk
The park has its own amusement park
It is easy to forget you are in China as you walk around
Where else can you see so many places at once?!
Park is divided into zones according to the number of continents that are represented there. You may say there is an Asian, European, American, etc. zone
By every scale model there is a name of the original construction
The landscape of the park is amazing by itself
I took this picture, because I thought that the idea of molding on an electrical box was funny. Later, I noticed there was something else funny about this picture 🙂
and some more places
There is much more in the Beijing World Park to see than I can share in my blog. I recommend you to dedicate a day to the visit of the park and look at its every corner (something that I could not achieve).
